R. John Wright, in Vermont, has announced the upcoming arrival of 'Jingles' — a 2014 Christmas Kitten. He doesn't produce many kittens, but when he does, you don't want to miss it.  His production of mice far out numbers his kittens, but one kitten can handle a few mice.  Only 175 will be produced world-wide and if the response to Jingles is the same as last years kitten Snowball, which sold out from R. John Wright in a single day, they won't last long.  There aren't any pictures yet, but you can read a description on our web site under:

  NABCO has been awarded the license  to produce a line of Downton Abbey collectible character bears for he USA.  NABCO is the FIRST plush manufacture to be awarded the license for the most popular British drama on PBS ever.   I know this series is very popular here and am pleased to be one of the first to spread the news.  The above picture is not of the finished bears fro promotional purposes only so retailers can get an idea of how the bears will be dressed. There will be four 12" bears  portraying  the main characters of Robert, Violet, Cora, and Mary. From the above picture you can see the outfits the bears will be wearing are quite special and portray each of the characters quite well. Especially Roberts' and Cora's outfits.   The retail price is $75 each either on stands or without and they are scheduled to be available this November just before season 5 of Downton Abbey  is to start.  

I am trying to test the waters as to how the collectors will want to order these exceptional bears.  Whether all four will be wanted or just your favorite character.  Your feedback will be greatly appreciated on this.

New Snuffles

This month Gund has introduced several new Snuffles designs.  Almost all of the Snuffles lovers have been waiting for new choices in the colors offered. Well the long wait is over.. the new colors are peach, pink, a black and white panda. Red and blue in the smaller 5" size.  

It seems the Gund has decided that Snuffles needs to help us celebrate all the holidays not just Christmas.  Christmas Snuffles' have been around for a time but we now have Snuffles for Halloween, Valentines Day, Mothers' Day, Easter and Americana for 4th of July.

I almost forget the Nerds.  Snuffles with glasses in two difference styles of glasses and a smaller version with a backpack clip so Snuffles can travel with you.

Titled "Deck the Hall!", this set of caroling mice travel from house to house to bring their Holiday cheer. Measuring from 2 3/4" to 3 1/4" tall and jointed at the neck and shoulders, each of these charming mouse characters are made entirely of fine mohair plush with realistic shading, resin hands and feet, glass eyes, inset whiskers, and a leather tail. All three mice have a built-in metal stand for easy display.

The leader of the group is dressed in a tailored frock coat lined in cotton with custom made miniature buttons. Around his neck he wears a long felt scarf to keep him warm. On his head is a handsome felt top hat trimmed with holly and berries.

His charming female companion is costumed in a period outfit consisting of a felt skirt and matching capelet trimmed in plush fabric. Her lovely bonnet is made of felt lined in pure silk ruching with matching silk ribbon ties.

The smallest of the mouse carolers wears a cosy felt jacket and wool scarf with a jaunty felt cap atop his head. All three mice hold songbooks opened to their current selection: "Deck the Hall!"

Tom Kitten and his sisters, Moppet and Mittens, were produced in 2004 as part of the Beatrix Potter Series. They are the only other feline editions from R. John Wright until the introduction of Snowball this year!

Constructed of the finest gray and white mohair plush and wool felt, Snowball is fully jointed and measures approximately 8" tall when seated.
